The beta version of TechKnow New Zealand website has launched!

TechKnow is our new Student Community website for IT students by IT students. We will also be launching a TechKnow club in each campus in New Zealand (including the University of Canterbury) very soon.

This blog will be discontinued. But we (Microsoft Student Partners - Canterbury Team) will be part of the TechKnow site. Be sure to follow our posts there.

If you have any feedback about the TechKnow site or you'd like to be a part of the TechKnow team, please email: techknow@techknow.geek.nz.

Microsoft Student Partners 2008

An introduction to ourselves and the blog..

Janina, Mayur and myself are Computer Science and Software Engineering students at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. Recently we have taken up the role of Microsoft Student Partners at Canterbury for 2008. Our role is to bridge the gap between students and academics at Canterbury, and Microsoft.

We will be carrying out presentations and/or labs throughout the year on a variety of topics such as .NET Framework, C#, Silverlight, XNA, Visual Studio 2008 and Windows Vista. However the exact content of the presentations has not been decided at this stage. We will also be supporting Microsoft student events in Christchurch such as Dev Jam (Orientation) and Student Day. We are also looking to organise a few social events such as XBOX360 night and Quiz night at Canterbury. Keep checking this blog for more information.

This blog is a means of communication with IT students and academics about Microsoft events and competitions in Christchurch.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Also remember to keep your eye on the Microsoft NZ Students blog for more Microsoft events around New Zealand.
